Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa alias Rayvanny has shocked netizens once again after he deliberately set his car on fire for a music video. The move came as another surprise to his fans, weeks after an alleged speculation of burning down his mansion emerged. Taking to his Instagram stories, Rayvanny disclosed that he burnt down his car, a decision that hurt his feelings afterwards.
Answering to what he termed as another loss, Rayvanny stated
, “najua kweli ni uhalisia lakini yani hakuna scene imeniumiza moyo kama ya kuchoma gari. Director @erismzava naomba tuishie hapa kuchomachoma vitu(I know this is real, but I mean no scene has hurt me like burning down my car. Director @erismzava please, let us stop burning things.”
Weeks after Rayvanny disclosed that he set his house on fire on purpose for a music video, other reports came out alleging that the singer lied. It was disclosed that he enticed his fans to champion for more views on his next project.
After the speculations went viral, Rayvanny chose not to respond. Other parties sided with the singer, terming it as a huge step in growing his art.
Rayvanny is one of the most sought-after Tanzanian singers, and currently, he is positioned as the 3rd East African artist with the highest subscription rate on YouTube.
Other reports claim that Rayvanny is planning to ditch Wasafi Record label to do music on his own. On his side, Rayvanny has never shared plans of leaving Wasafi despite increased online rumours. In 2021, YouTube analytics showed that the singer garnered millions of YouTube views that placed him in the second position in East Africa after Diamond Platinumz.
In the 3rd place was his colleague dubbed Zuchu.
