by Ramskie Duevela

Recently the members of the clergy weighed in considering Roots Part Presidential hopeful George Wajackoyah’s manifesto. The church criticized the manifesto claiming bhang will not solve the country’s predicaments as Wajackoyah claims.

In an interview with Plug TV, Pastor T Mwangi the former musician popular for his song ‘finje finje,’ who is now a preacher shared sentiments concerning Wajackoyah’s manifesto. He claimed that Wajackoyah’s ideas sound good but might not be practical. Pastor T questioned the viability of Wajackoyah’s manifesto stating,

,”Wajackoyah is learned, come with a business proposal, have we seen any interactions with America, its just an assumption, there are global policies for exports he speaks things that sound very good but in reality, they may not be very practical, we just need facts,

He continued to add that the current generation, branded generation Z no longer indulges in tribal politics but views politics with different angles.

According to the Final  voters register released by IEBC on Monday 20th June, the number of Youth registered as voters have dropped significantly by 5.27% from 2017. This shows that many youth are distancing themselves from politics gradually.

While this is a point of concern, the evangelist claimed that many youths could identify themselves with Wajackoyah as he speaks a language they can understand and relate.

,”There is a generation coming that doesn’t recognize tribe, this generation has recognized that no politician makes no sense for them but the coming of Wajackoyah makes sense for them as he speaks a language they understand,”

The presidential hopeful who earlier In an interview with spice fm stated he has never smoked bhang raised eyebrows of many as he announced that should he be elected president he will smoke bhang in statehouse claiming this will be a bid to purify it.

Pastor T added that in as much as Wajackoyah is learned, he should package the information In a relevant way and that his proposal should be viable and factual.

Wajackoyah has also claimed to introduce snake farming in the country.
