Singer and opulent businesswoman Esther Akoth alias Akothee made it open to the public that she charges ksh. 2.3 million for performance.

I bring value. I am the number one earning artist in Kenya right now,” she said.

The controversial celebrity singer revealed this to Presenter Ali during a previous interview while attending a meeting with the Music Copyright Council of Kenya (MCSK) chairman Dr. Ezekiel Mutua.

She also disclosed that the meeting with Dr. Mutua was a coming together of duplicate ideologies on artists’ welfare and how to ensure that they are well appreciated, protected, supported, motivated and celebrated.

This is after previous incidences where artists have lamented and complained over their financial returns don’t reciprocate their artistic output value.

The _’give it to me’_ hit maker also launched her album dubbed The Lioness on the 4th of June in an event graced by prominent personel and celebrities. The event also saw The Boss Lady launch her new book, “Akothee Quotes” which sales for ksh. 500 per copy.

In the same interview, Akothee also confirmed that she had called it quits with her now estranged boyfriend and manager Nelson Oyugi, alias Nelly Oaks and are no longer in a romantic relationship.

Akothee, who now identifies herself as single also revealed that she had walked out of the relationship way back in December last year but kept it on the low till recently.
