A middle aged man identified as Evans Nyamongo Bogonko has found himself in hot soup after stealing a whole ksh131 million shillings from family bank and then deposited the money into his bank account. The police are still trying to figure out how Evans pulled out the money heist without being detected over the three years period.
According to Court documents Evans made the money heist at Family Bank Headquarters in Nairobi between November 13, 2018 and August 17, 2021 and later received the same money in Thika town through the bank’s Thika branch .
However on Tuesday 10/05/2022 during a court hearing, Bogonko denied the accusations before senior magistrate Bernard Ochoi.
Bogonko was later released on a bond of ksh 30 million with an alternative of caish bail of ksh15 million.
