Silva Kiddo of SPM Buzz started a heated conversation on Kenyan celebrities lagging behind in regards to Showbiz.
Alex Mathenge backed Kiddo up and made claims that the reason there’s no showbiz in the country is because celebrities are broke .
Kiddo made complaints that whenever artists see content creators approaching them they choose to escape instead of allowing them have session with the that would possibly assist in pushing their brand.
“showbiz entertainment Kenya haipo sawa haipo kwenye level ambayo inastahili kuwa ……wasanii hawapendi kuona camera imewashwa wakiona camera imewashwa wanahepa . Wasanii hawapigi show biz wanaingia kwa event kama regular kama fan “ stated Kiddo.
In response, Mathenge claimed that there is no money to support showbiz. Citing Kanye and Kim as examples, he gave the instances where drones captured a fight between them that created controversy and claimed that there is no way in hell a celebrity would allow themselves get recorded whilst they live in low income areas.
“….. there’s no money to support the showbiz ….I am crying out to fans and cooperates to pump money into the entertainment scene to allow artists have money for showbiz …..nikitaka kuflex kwa show atleast nakuja na gari mpya….”
“ like in the Us unaskianga drone imeenda imecapture Kanye west wanafight na Kim Kardashian…Kenya huezi fanya ivo utaweka drone zimmerman uone akifight na manzi yake…haiwezi akiwaona atajificha “ said Alex Mathenge.
As if that was not enough, Mathenge claimed that Kenya has no celebrities all we nurture are sexlebrities! One way or the other the claim might hold some water because people who hit because of anything sexually related rises up the entertainment ladder very fast .
Even though they hit fast and hard they fail to attract any substantial deal hence one remains with a name and zero shillings to show for it.
“In Kenya we don’t have celebrities we have sexlebrities ……unapata ata nikihit ju ya sex scandal siezi jisell to the cooperates so I have a big name but siezi sell nipate pesa ..”
