The world record holder, Eliud Kipchoge breaks yet another record in Tokyo. He finished the race in 2
hours 2 minutes and 40 seconds breaking the previous record of 2 hours 3 minutes and 58 seconds that
was set by Kipsang.
Taking to his Instagram account, he let his fans that he lived up to his word and made the country proud
yet again.
“I am so happy to win in the streets of Tokyo where people have running in their hearts and mind. After
winning my second Olympic Gold medal in Japan last summer, I returned to Tokyo to run a strong race.
And this is what I mean with strong race 2:02 Victory and a new course record. I am proud to now have
won 4 out of 6 Abbott world marathon Major races “
