Do not Impose a Puppet President on Kenyans, Ruto Warns President Kenyatta

by Chief Okuzo

UDA’s leader and DP William Ruto has taken up arms to disrupt President Uhuru Kenyatta’s efforts to impose his favored candidate on Kenyans prior of the August 9 National Election.

On Tuesday, February 8, during a campaign visit in Western Kenya, the presidential hopeful claimed that Kenyans will vote and choose the figureheads to elect, not just a few persons in the boardroom.

“Kenya sio ya watu watatu, wanne au familia chache za Kenya. We will not allow you to impose a puppet on the Kenyan people in order to enrich a few wealthy persons at the cost of others ” Ruto declared.

Ruto was replying to President Kenyatta’s remark that he was claiming credit for government efforts he was not a part of and sabotaging the same administration. Mr. Kenyatta has subsequently committed to weaken Ruto’s popularity in the Mt. Kenya area and across the nation when the time is right.

The Deputy President has been canvassing support for his new political alliance, Kenya Kwanza, in which he has claimed to improve the economy and the lives of ordinary Kenyans if elected president in August 2022.
