The alliance is led by Kalonzo Musyoka of the Wiper Party, Martha Karua of Narc Kenya, and Gideon Moi and Cyrus Jirongo of KANU. The four have joined hands in what is seen as a counter-attack move against Mudavadi for ‘betraying’ them at the last minute by joining Ruto’s coalition.
Moreover, as anticipated the leaders have said that they are open to collaborating with other factions that share similar ideals.
“We are willing to engage in candid and open dialogue with other affiliations that share our values,” KANU’s Gideon Moi declared.
The figureheads did not rule out collaborating with Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja Movement. Nevertheless, they emphasized that joining the new coalition led by Mudavadi and Ruto is not a feasible alternative.
Additionally, the leaders assured the public that the formation would be a force to reckon with in the next ballot as a result of their political experience and numbers they have on the ground.
