Dr. Boni Khalwale is allegedly eyeing the Kakamega Governorship seat on an ODM ticket.
Dr. Khalwale caught off guard many Kenyans by announcing on his social media account that he met with ODM officials in Kakamega and they backed his gubernatorial candidacy.
This morning, I held a breakfast meeting with Ikolomani North @TheODMparty leaders. Am so grateful that they took the opportunity to endorse me for Kakamega Governor 2022.

On 23rd January, several Kenyans voiced alarm when they noticed that Dr. Khalwale was missing in action in Mudavadi’s event dubbed “Earthquake.”
I never saw @KBonimtetezi Khalwale at Bomas of Kenya. Who saw him?

Dr. Khalwale’s flirting with the ODM Party has been seen as a clue that the ANC Party intends to hand Kakamega Senator Cleopas Malala their governorship ticket on a silver platter; a move that puts Khalwale in a tough position as far as his gubernatorial ambition is concerned.
Conversely, in a fresh turn of events the ODM party has denied claims that Dr. Khalwale met with his officials today in a statement made at precisely 17:09pm. Additionally, the Party informed Kenyans that speculations that Dr. Khalwale had been endorsed by the party for the Kakamega gubernatorial ticket are false and should be brushed aside with the disdain they deserve.
There has not been any meeting of ODM officials with the former Senator of Kakamega County Dr. Bonny Khalwale. None of our officials in Kakamega has met and endorsed him as he claims on his Twitter handle. Those are imposters.
