It was a bright evening for the Manchester United academy graduates with Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Elanga scoring. Nevertheless, Cristiano Ronaldo was noticeably furious when he was replaced in the 72nd minute prior sulking while sitting on the bench.
Manchester United interim coach Ralf Rangnick was spotted comforting Ronaldo after Marcus Rashford made the Red Devils 3-0 up but Andy Townsend feels the Portuguese got off much too lightly.
Townsend remarked on a commentary for talk SPORT: “We can see Rangnick chatting to Ronaldo, attempting to keep him on side a little bit – Ronaldo didn’t appear like he was having too much of it.”
Manchester United boss later revealed that he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo to prevent the error that he did against Aston Villa when Manchester United threw away a two goal victory. During Brentford, Ralf changed Ronaldo for Maguire who is a defender.
