A warrant for the arrest of presidential candidate Jimmy Wanjigi and her wife has been issued in connection with the suspected falsification of a title deed. Judge Bernard Ochoi has scheduled a court appearance for Wanjigi and his co-accused for Monday next week.
On the evening of 17th January, police officials from the infamous Flying Squad invaded Wanjigi’s offices in Westlands, Nairobi.
The billionaire who made news last year when he announced his intention to run for president on the ODM ticket has since blamed his misfortunes on Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
Wanjigi has also said that his troubles began only days after he assured the public that he would fight for democracy in the Orange Democratic Movement.
Jimmy Wanjigi is a KNOWN CROOK. He is behind most tender deals that have seen him paid billions of money. He is a billionaire who has invented nothing, owns nothing and has no known businesses. If it's forgery of land titles, let him face the law. No one is above the law. pic.twitter.com/qJlG8RK5u4
